Actor Varun Kulkarni, known for his role in Dunki, battles Chronic Kidney Disease and seeks support for a life-saving transplant.
In a heartfelt appeal, actor Varun Kulkarni, who starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Vicky Kaushal in Dunki, has revealed his ongoing struggle with Chronic Kidney Disease. His wife, Rhea Rai, has initiated a fundraiser on Ketto.org to help cover the costs of his urgent kidney transplant and ongoing treatment.
Over the past few months, Varun has been undergoing dialysis, but his condition requires a transplant to ensure a healthier future. The family has already spent over INR 5,00,000 on his treatment, with an additional INR 25,00,000 needed to complete the procedure.
Rhea shared, “While Varun has been physically weak, he has kept himself mentally strong. Due to the kind support of his loved ones and the funds arranged through Ketto, he has been able to stay strong during this difficult time. Since Varun's kidneys are permanently damaged, it has led to a lot of complications. Kidney transplant is his only option for a healthy future, hence we request people to donate.”
Varun, celebrated for his talent and generosity, now finds himself in need of the kindness he has so often extended to others. His family and friends are rallying behind him, hoping to see him return to the stage and screen, where he has captivated audiences with his performances.
